The Treason Show

The Treason Show returns, pitching gags perfectly to an appreciative crowd at the Ropetackle (the audience were particularly fond of the rendition of ‘Show Me Shoreham’ in lieu of ‘Show Me Heaven’). As ever, the material is topical, with some jokes referencing new stories that had only just come off the press that morning. Mark Brailsford and his team showed a neat knack for blending silly with wince-inducing near the knuckle stuff, as well as procuring excellent guest talent  – this month’s highlight was the remarkable Jacky Page, whose wit, humour and character owned the stage each time she was on.
