Brighton fashion & culture film wins ASOS award

A film on Brighton’s culture and fashion has won two University of Brighton students a national award from the UK’s largest independent online fashion and beauty retailers, ASOS.

Lauren Maccabee, a photography student, and Kate Jefferies, a graphic design student, earned the £1,000 award for their three minute exploration of Brighton’s North Laine.

Inspired by Brighton’s vibrant, colourful culture and a keen eye for fashion, Lauren and Kate decided to film in Brighton for ASOS’s national student Lowdown campaign.

Speaking about why they chose Brighton, Lauren said: “Brighton is such a unique place; there’s something really exciting about being able to study in such a creative environment.”
