Student stabbed in Brighton

A student in Brighton was stabbed in the face in a suspected racial attack.

The attack took place at a bus stop opposite Lidl in Arundel Road, Brighton.

The victim, a 27-year-old student from Libya, was sworn at and stabbed but nothing was stolen. He needed stitches to his face.

The attack happened at about 10pm on Wednesday 2 October.

The attacker who held the knife was described as white, about 25 years old, 6ft 1in tall and slim.

He was wearing a red t-shirt, dark jeans and a black baseball-style cap with his hair sticking out the back.

A second man was described as white, about 25 years old, 5ft 11in tall and slim. He had bad teeth and light brown hair that was shaved in a number one or number two cut.

He was wearing jeans, a white t-shirt and a blue hooded top.

Detective Constable Sophie Tullett said: “We are still determined to find the men responsible for this nasty attack.

“The three men in the images were seen in the area at the time and could have vital information about what happened.

“They may have seen or heard what took place or could have seen the victim of the attackers in the moments before or after the assault.

“We are very keen to get in touch with them urgently. If you know who or where they are, please contact us so we can speak to them.”
