Aladdin

Starring Shaun Williamson (EastEnders’ Barry) as the evil Abanazaar, and fantastic local comedian Tucker as Wishee-Washee, this production is a festive treat for all ages. The banter between Tucker and Martyn Knight as Widow Twankey is hilarious throughout and Charlene Ford plays Aladdin superbly. Lucie Donner as Princess So-Shi played the role with a feisty, defiant side emerging from her charm and innocence; perfectly played but unfortunately her voice wasn’t as strong as the rest of the cast. C.G Fraser as the Genie was fantastically cast, reminding me of Donkey in Shrek (stealing the show!). A magic carpet ride, great lighting and orchestra completed the experience.
