Pensioner suffers head injuries after being knocked over in Hove
An 81-year-old man suffered serious head injuries after being knocked over in Portland Road, Hove, yesterday morning (Thursday 19 December).
He was hit by a Chrysler Grand Voyager as he crossed the road near Portslade Station and the junction with Station Road.
The pensioner, from Bramber, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with potentially life-threatening head injuries.
The driver of the Chrysler, a 29-year-old woman from Southwick, and the two children with her were unhurt.
The man was crossing Portland Road from north to south when the accident happened.
