No Exit
Sartre’s dark and twisted comic exploration of personal hell is thoroughly brought to life by Brighton Little Theatre. All three characters brought together to taunt each other as they work out why they have been placed in a single room. Hell or purgatory? This production made you think seriously about choices made and possible regrets had.
Sadly whilst the majority of the cast were strong, Frank McHugh’s interpretation of Garcin let the production down with rushed lines. However he redeemed himself in the second act. The highlights for me though were a severely hard bitch Inez (Lyn Snowden) and a devilishly macabre Valet (Neil Turk). Elle Mason’s Estelle also showed perfect hysteria as she suffered her own hell via Inez and Garcin.
