Adapt Barbers celebrates 10 years!
It wasn’t just the festive celebrations held in Brighton last month. Adapt Barbers on Queens Road, Brighton, celebrated 10 years in business with a glittering party held at the barbers, hosted by owner Ross Williams, who has been in the hair industry for 18 years. Entertainment was provided by local magician Max Curd.

Brighton & Hove Arts Council Drama Awards 2013

Brighton & Hove Arts Council held its annual drama awards ceremony at BHASVIC, on the evening of Tuesday 10 December. Brighton & Hove’s own ‘Oscars’ recognise the achievements of amateur theatre companies in the area. Local groups taking part this year included New Venture Theatre Club, Brighton, The Southwick Players, Wick Theatre Company and Burgess Hill Theatre Club.

DNC’s fundraiser for the NSPCC
Daisy’s Nail Company (DNC) in Preston Street, Brighton, held a special charity fundraiser in aid of the NSPCC on 19th December 2013. Latest 7 attended the party where guests donated to the NSPCC and received a luxury OPI manicure. Brighton Makeup School’s director Hayley Pinker was also on hand to provide pre-Christmas makeovers. Ronan Keating backs council service for people with disabilities
Boyzone’s Ronan Keating gave a rave review for some specially commissioned embroidery work done for him by AbleandWilling, a supported business for people with disabilities run by Brighton & Hove City Council.

Ronan Keating was visiting Brighton for a Boyzone reunion concert at the Brighton Centre on 18th December when he decided he wanted to give the rest of the band sweaters with their names embroidered on them for Christmas.
Ronan called AbleandWilling, which employs people with a variety of disabilities and specialises in embroidery, printing and providing garments for a wide range of businesses and organisations.
AbleandWilling’s business manager, Jeff White, said: “Ronan’s order and visit was a lovely surprise. He couldn’t have been nicer.”

Brighton Fringe announces new partner in Gemini Print
Gemini Print danced through the city with Brighton Fringe stalwarts, The Ragroof Players, to announce its partnership with this year’s Festival.

As the key supplier of official Brighton Fringe printed materials, Mark Tulley, of Gemini Group, said that he was really delighted to be supporting the festival.
“Brighton Fringe is without doubt one of the highlights in the City’s calendar,” he said.
