Lorry and car crash in residential street in Brighton

Two people had to be cut free from a car after a crash involving a delivery lorry in a residential street in Brighton.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that firefighters were called out to the crash in Pankhurst Avenue, Brighton, shortly before 5pm on Tuesday (14 January).

Crews from Preston Circus and Roedean fire stations in Brighton were joined at the scene by officers from Sussex Police and medics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

The fire service said: “Two people were removed from the car by firefighters under the supervision of the ambulance service. Crews then made the vehicles safe.”
