Kate Moss turns 40, baby joy for Peter Andre, Susanna Reid visits Brighton salon, & there’s new Queen Latifah style premises for Celeb City’s HQ

Last week it was announced that rapper-turned-actress-turned chat show host Queen Latifah is putting her $2.4 million dollar New Jersey masion up for sale, and we noticed we share something in common. The queen of hip-hop had her own home-office erected on her land and dealt with much of her business there in the back graden. This year at JB-PR we have followed in the footsteps of hip-hop royalty by moving ourselves to a brilliant home office, affectionately called the ‘pod’, designed by local company (and former Latest Homes cover stars) Harrison James. We are loving our new bespoke office, as is Bruce the office dog, and hope to have a launch for it later in the year. Promettes return to Brighton
There’s likely to be a whole new type of celebrity in town if Visit Brighton get their way… Brighton’s marketing team are set to reinstate the famed ‘Promettes’, who last trod-the-boards of Brighton Pier back in the 1950s. In those days the Promettes consisted of pretty girls, at least 5ft 7in, who helped visitors around Brighton’s premier attraction. The more 21st century friendly bunch will consist of male and female volunteers that will help guide visitors around our city’s key attractions. Keep an eye out for them in 2014!

A big JB-PR Happy Birthday went out to Kate Moss last week as the beautiful supermodel celebrated her 40th. As the British icon partied elsewhere, we sipped champagne in front of the beautiful David Ross shot photographs of her as a 14-year-old fresh faced beauty at London Art Fair. Brighton’s Ink_d Gallery was displaying the shots as part of their stand at the coveted London Art fair, alongside works by Brighton-based artist Jake Wood Evans and Fatboy Slim’s favourite sign maker – Ryca. The VIP preview was packed out, and that only continued as the week went on, with a very successful show for the brilliant Brighton gallery. With Esquire magazine tipping some of their artists as ones to look out for in 2014, we’ve got our eye’s peeled to see what they do next!

Baby joy for Peter Andre
A huge congratulations to Celeb City favourite and Brighton business owner Peter Andre whose girlfriend Emily MacDonagh gave birth to their first child together last week. The baby girl is Peter’s third child and his second daughter. At the time of writing, the couple have yet to announce the name of their little one, but it is reported they are letting Peter’s son Junior and daughter Princess from his relationship with Katie Price, help with the decision. A brave move, Pete! The proud dad posted this message to his three million Twitter followers: “Btw a massive, massive thank you to everyone who has sent congrats and well wishes. She’s such a beaut. Love you all lots.” Ahhhhh.

Spotted!
Spotted in the Trevor Sorbie salon on Nile Street, Strictly Come Dancing runner up and BBC Breakfast presenter, Susanna Reid. The glamorous lady was looking absolutely gorgeous and incredibly trim after her successful stint on the BBC1 dancing show and with her beautiful hair, she definitely would have scored a ten from Len. Keep dancing!
