Brighton lorry crash pensioner seriously injured in hospital
An 89-year old pedestrian is in hospital after being seriously injured when he was hit by a lorry in Brighton.
The pensioner, from Woodingdean, was hurt in the accident in West Street, Brighton, on Wednesday (22 January).
Sussex Police said yesterday (Thursday 23 January): “He sustained a serious leg injury and is detained at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in a serious but currently not-life threatening condition.
“The 30-year old lorry driver from Slough was not hurt.”
PC Stuart Watson, of the Sussex Road Policing Unit, said: “Anyone who saw what happened is asked to call us.”
