England Women’s WCQ Announcement

Brighton and Hove Albion Chief Executive Paul Barber announces England Women’s upcoming 2015 World Cup Qualifier against Montenegro to be played at The American Express Community Stadium. He was joined by Sally Horrox from the FA, England captain Casey Stoney and goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain.

The tie will be played on Saturday April 5th at 1pm and will be the first competitive England international to be staged at the AMEX.

In recent times, Brighton have hosted both the England U19s and U21s and Paul Barber showed his support: “As a club with our own thriving women’s team and centre of excellence, we are keen to support and promote the women’s game in every way we can”.

He added: “To be hosting a senior international World Cup Qualifier is not only a great honour for the club but is a great boost to the profile of the women’s game in Brighton and Sussex”.

England have made an incredible start to their qualifying campaign by winning all four games, scoring twenty goals and conceding none. The highlight being an 8-0 victory over Turkey. The England squad, along with new Head Coach Mark Sampson will be looking to continue that fine form and give the home crowd of Brighton a great show.
