Minkley’s Night Of Melodies

This Samaritans benefit organised by Gabrielle Minkley, in memory of her late husband Oliver, began superbly with Jennifer Left’s enjoyable quirky pop vignettes; the first of a string of local talents who had waived their fees for an event that raised over £3000. Alex Worral was a nervous but endearing MC and hosted some supremely shambolic raffles either side of a well received set by the bafflingly popular Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer. The ridiculously-talented Alice Russell and band closed the evening with her testifying soul tunes that completed a great night in support of an important cause.
