It took a while for the New York punks to build up steam with the first few sub-Lou Reed/Talking Heads songs plodding and outstaying their welcome. That all changed with ‘Master Of My Craft’ and ‘Borrowed Time’; their basic garage rock swagger and Andrew Savage’s snarling vocals giving the crowd something to get their teeth into. The momentum was temporarily lost with some mid-tempo musings but a cranked-up ‘Stoned And Starving’ and other scuzzy offerings brought out the crowd surfers and saw the mosh pit extend to midway through the venue until the set ended abruptly dead on 10:30 with no encore.
