Brighton woman found with serious unexplained head injuries
A woman from Brighton is in a serious condition in hospital with unexplained head injuries.
Sussex Police issued an appeal for information as they tried to find out what happened to the 38-year-old from Bevendean.
The woman’s daughter found her in bed at her home in Norwich Drive on Sunday (16 February).
She dialled 999 and the woman was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
She was transferred to the Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Unit in Haywards Heath where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
Detective Sergeant Simon Dunn said: “We know this woman had been out socialising with friends on Saturday night and was dropped home by a taxi at just after midnight.
“Her daughter came home on Sunday morning and found her mum in bed with injuries to her head.
“At this stage, this incident is being treated as unexplained and we are keeping an open mind as to what happened.
