Man robbed at knifepoint in Hove

A man was robbed at knifepoint while on his way home in Hove.

The 31-year-old was walking along Clarendon Villas, Hove, towards the corner of Sackville Road, at about 4.45pm yesterday (Sunday 16 February).

A man approached him, threatened him with a knife and demanded that he hand over money.

The victim gave him cash and the robber then ran off.

The mugger was described as black, in his late twenties, about 6ft tall and with short black dreadlocks.

He was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a black Super Dry fitted coat.

Detective Constable Leon Howe said: “If you saw the man, recognise his description or saw anyone behaving suspiciously in the area please contact us.”
