Man suffers facial injuries in attack in Brighton

A 33-year-old man suffered three broken bones in his face when he was attacked in Brighton earlier this week.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack which happened in Kensington Street in the North Laine area of Brighton on Tuesday afternoon (18 February).

The victim, who comes from Brighton, was walking along Kensington Street near the junction with Gloucester Road at about 3pm when he heard someone call over to him.

The victim started to walk over to the man and as he did so the man said to him: “Do you know who I am?”

As the victim got closer, the man became aggressive and punched the victim in the face.

Detective Constable Shirley White said: “The victim went to a nearby shop when an ambulance was called and he was found to have three fractures to his face.

“If you saw what happened or have any information please contact us.”
