Thug slashes good samaritan with knife in Brighton
A teenage good samaritan was slashed with a knife by a thug when he tried to help a woman who was screaming in Brighton.
The 18-year-old was walking along Bloomsbury Place in Kemp Town at about 8pm on Sunday (23 February) when he heard a woman screaming and saw her being dragged by a man.
When the teenager asked the woman if she was ok, the man who was with her pulled out a knife and slashed him across the hand and forearm.
The victim punched the man to push him away and then ran home and called Sussex Police.
The man was described as white, about 20 years old, skinny and 6ft 1in tall. He was wearing a blue hoody and a grey tracksuit or trousers.
The woman was described as white, blonde-haired, skinny and about 5ft 3in tall. She was wearing a dark hoody and cut-off jeans.
Detective Constable Shirley White said: “This was a nasty attack on a teenager who was trying to do the right thing when he saw a woman in distress.
“I need to speak to anyone who was in the area at about 8pm on Sunday and saw or heard the incident or what happened next.
“If you know anything at all about those who were involved, please contact me.”
