Luke Wright: Essex Lion

This hilarious hashtag ‘Essex Lion’- a title originally taken from the BBC news – is the reason why the young poet Luke Wright began this much-acclaimed show. It seems like it’s full of random thematic verses – from his first poem relating the story of a sixteen year old boy to the poem about Wright’s father’s life as a commuter. However this could not be further from the truth. Just like a professional bandleader he links all the stories giving them rhythm and bringing everything back to his first principal subject: Essex Lion.

So as he’s a poet I will be brief, since brevity is the soul of wit: Luke Wright is quite impressive.
