Body found in car is believed to be missing Hove woman

The body of a woman has been found in a parked car to the north of Brighton.

Sussex Police said that officers believed that it was a woman who was reported missing in Hove last week.

The force said: “Police received a report of the body of a woman found in a parked car off Saddlescombe Road, Brighton, at about 5.40pm on (Friday) 28 February by a member of the public.

“The body has not been formally identified but sadly is believed to be that of Diana White, 42, of Elm Drive, Hove, who police had been seeking since she was reported as missing two days earlier.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner’s officer is continuing inquiries.”

Mrs White had not been seen since leaving her home in Hangleton on Wednesday afternoon (26 February).
