Dracula

Blackeyed Theatre have created a wonderful adaptation of Bram Stokers classic. The continuous action (no set changes etc) kept the pace and tension ticking along, the stylisation was wonderfully creative (using clever changes in style to keep you interested, especially the full nod and wink to Dracula’s of old particularly from early cinema). The angular/off kilter set automatically had you unnerved from the moment you walked in. The acting was charged with eroticism, profound terror, pathos and humour. All in all this is a production not to be missed and will charm newcomers and devotee’s of Dracula alike. Great stuff!
