Two crashes cause rush-hour jam on A27 Brighton Bypass
Two crashes within 10 minutes of each other cause tailbacks on the A27 Brighton Bypass during the rush-hour this morning (Wednesday 12 March).
Sussex Police said: “At 7.28am today police were called to a road traffic collision (RTC) at the junction of the A27 and the A2038 at Hangleton in which a car struck the central reservation.
“It caused a build-up of traffic and a second RTC at the rear of this build-up was then reported to police some 10 minutes later.
“At 7.38am today police were called to the A27 dual carriageway eastbound, just beyond the Shoreham flyover, where two cars, both Citroens, travelling in the same direction had collided.
“There were no injuries but one vehicle was left blocking the outside lane, causing traffic delays of around 40 minutes.”
