Brighton man charged after A27 police chase
A 29-year-old man from Brighton has been charged after a police chase along the A27 ended in Peacehaven cul de sac.
Sussex Police said that unemployed Anthony Bailey had been charged with a number of driving offences.
The force said: “Police were called at around 10pm on Friday to Thornhill Rise in Portslade to reports a car had been stolen.
“The black BMW Sports Coupé was traced to the A27 heading east and was stopped by police in Flint Way, Peacehaven.
“Anthony Bailey, 29, unemployed of North Street, Brighton has been charged with burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop for police, driving with no insurance and no licence.”
He was due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 24 March).
