Brighton and Hove charity to open garden centre
The Mayor of Brighton and Hove Denise Cobb is to open a charity garden centre in Portslade at the weekend.
Councillor Cobb will officially open the Greenhouse at Emmaus at the homelessness charity’s base in Drove Road, Portslade, on Saturday morning (29 March).
Emmaus Brighton and Hove said: “Whether it’s a patio, garden, conservatory, balcony, terrace, allotment or window box, the greenhouse is packed with blooming good ideas to bring both indoor and outdoor spaces to life by offering stunning hand-crafted planters made from people’s discarded or unwanted items.
“Greenhouse customers can also enjoy an unrivalled selection of bargain-priced second-hand gardening books, tools, as well as garden and conservatory furniture.
“There are also a variety of seasonal plants, vegetable seedlings, nursery shrubs and custom-made container displays available at very affordable prices.”
The Greenhouse at Emmaus opens at 10am on Saturday.
