Macbeth

Performing one of Shakespeare’s many famous plays sets a high bar for any theatre company, but what the Blue Orange Theatre quartet showed was an exquisite and modern twist. Using just four actors to simultaneously play multiple roles throughout, with tartan cloaks and sashes representing different characters, the unique play never failed to captivate and surprise. The actors’ clever, and almost too realistic performance, adhered to the dark theme, as their body language and expressions moulded to each character’s personality seamlessly. With the lightning and set only enhancing the overall experience, it sets a high standard for any forthcoming Shakespearean productions.
