Man suffers burns in car fire in Brighton
A driver suffered burns when his car caught fire in Saltdean yesterday morning (Wednesday 26 March).
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters gave first aid to the male driver of the car, who was suffering from burns, and assisted paramedics who also attended the scene.”
The fire service said that the car was on fire in Longridge Avenue, Saltdean.
The 999 call came in shortly after 9.15am and was answered by crews from Roedean in Brighton.
The previous afternoon (Tuesday 25 March) crews from Roedean and Preston Circus in Brighton freed one person who trapped in a car after a crash.
Two cars crashed in Warren Road near Brighton Racecourse between 3pm and 3.30pm.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service called in the fire crews before taking the injured person to the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
