Brighton man charged with trying to murder two women
A 19-year-old man from Brighton has been charged with trying to murder two women by stabbing them at their home.
Connah Smith, of Vernon Terrace, Brighton, was arrested for attempted murder and has also been charged with false imprisonment.
Sussex Police said that two women – a 20-year-old and a 21-year-old – were stabbed at their home in Dean Street, Brighton.
They ran to nearby Western Road where they flagged down a police car in the early hours of Sunday (30 March).
They were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Kemp Town, where they were treated for their injuries.
The force said that those injuries were not life-threatening.
Smith, who knew one of the women, is due to appear before Brighton magistrates tomorrow (Tuesday 1 April).
