Hundreds of Open University students in Brighton for graduation
More than 350 Open University (OU) students from the south east celebrated their graduation in Brighton at the weekend.
They celebrated years of part-time study in a ceremony at the Dome on Saturday (5 April).
Bruce McGowen, the OU’s assistant director for the south east, said: “The degree ceremony gives us all the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the people we are proud to call our students.
“Their dedication and commitment is highly commendable and I wish them all my warmest congratulations on their success.
“They have worked hard to get here, often toiling over their computers late at night, giving up social activities and juggling their academic work with a job and family commitments.
“They should be very proud of themselves.”
