Man charged with shouting racist abuse at Hove shop staff

A Hove man is to appear in court accused of shouting racist abuse at shop staff near his home.

Sussex Police said that officers were called to Church Road just before 4am on Sunday 30 March to a report that a man was being abusive to Asian staff at Subway.

George Dalmon, 27, of Lansdowne Street, Hove, has been charged with using threatening and abusive language and causing racially aggravated harassment or alarm.

He was released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 15 May.
