Brighton need to maintain momentum in play-offs

Brighton midfielder Keith Andrews wants Albion to continue their end-of-season momentum into the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final with Derby County.

“We’re hoping that euphoria, excitement and the adrenalin can carry us into the play-offs in good form.

Albion are unbeaten in eight games but head into tonight’s game with a few injury concerns, right-back Bruno and midfielder Dale Stephens will miss out due to groin and ankle injuries respectively.

Brighton’s player of the year Matthew Upson should play and striker Will Hoskins returns after a knee injury.

The Seagulls host Derby in the first leg of their semi-final this evening and Andrews (on loan from Bolton Wanderers) thinks maintaining composure is key.

“It’s very different [play-off fixtures] you can’t get too carried away in the first leg its obviously going to be over 180 minutes and it’s something that none of us are really used to.
There’s a lot at stake but I think it’s something we can genuinely go and enjoy.”

The second leg takes play on Sunday 11th May at Pride Park Stadium.
