Boy Jumps Ship

Having heard rave reviews about Boy Jumps Ship, I was looking forward to finally seeing them play at The Great Escape. The quartet – who are from Newcastle – deliver huge, riff-laden choruses that could easily raise the roof of a much larger venue. Their mature pop-punk tunes are ridiculously catchy; it was impossible not to dance. Black Hearts Don’t Beat even coaxed a jig from the cynics at the back. I have a feeling Boy Jumps Ship won’t be playing these small shows for much longer … big things ahead.
