Will Gregory Moog Ensemble
Goldfrapp keyboard player Will Gregory presented this Moog ensemble, a treat for synth fans that showcased various different bits of equipment with nine performers. The show was varied and interesting, ranging from a technically impressive rendition of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto no. 3 to a more meditative performance of an Eddie Parker number (a jazz flautist). The second half was wholly devoted to a live score to a film called ‘Tim Henman’s Service’. Although the film looked a little shoddy by today’s high definition standards, the score was engrossing, filled with softer synth waves and building to a loud arpeggiated crescendo. A fun ode to synthesisers.
