Two men charged with raiding a Brighton clothes shop have been told by a court that they must await trial in prison.
Ashley Sims, 22, and Daniel Isaacs, 31, are accused of breaking into a shop called Profile, in Duke’s Lane, Brighton, at about 3.45am last Monday (12 May), Sussex Police said.
They are alleged to have stolen clothes worth more than £40,000.
They were arrested in Nottingham at about 2pm on the same day and appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (14 May) charged with burglary.
Sims, of Downing Street, Nottingham, and Isaacs, 31, of Marine Parade, Eastbourne, were both remanded in custody.
They are due to appear before a judge at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday 5 June.
