The Australian sleeper hit, The Rocket, is released on DVD and Blu-ray this week. It follows the trials of a ‘cursed’ twin who guides his family to a new life in Laos.

This award winning debut feature from director Kim Mordaunt is set against the backdrop of a war-ravaged country on the brink of huge change. Ten-year-old Ahlo, played by gutsy former street kid Sitthiphon Disamoe, is blamed for a string of family disasters and sets about trying to shed the stigma by building a giant explosive rocket with the help of his friend’s eccentric uncle: a rice-wine swilling ex-soldier
