Chief Rabbi visits Brighton

The Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis visited a Jewish care home in Brighton on Friday afternoon (30 May).

He came to Jewish Care’s Hyman Fine Care home in Burlington Street, Kemp Town.

The Chief Rabbi met residents, staff and volunteers at the 51-bed care home, the only Jewish care home in the area.

After the visit the manager Natasha Carson said: “We were delighted that the Chief Rabbi took time out of his busy schedule to visit staff and residents at Hyman Fine House.

“He spent time talking to residents and touring the home, including taking a look at the wonderful synagogue we have on site.

“As the only Jewish care home in the Brighton area, the visit from the Chief Rabbi was recognition of the vital role we play in providing culturally sensitive services to the Brighton community”.
