Kirsty Pollard on Father’s Day at Brighton Marina

Steak Chill Shop

If you haven’t thought about what to do with Dad this Father’s Day, then you must come down to the Marina. Why not take him fishing or bowling, or check out the latest movies at Cineworld. Relax and stroll around the harbour and then treat him at one of the many waterfront restaurants, cafés and bars. There are plenty of special offers available.

For only £19 at Café Rouge, get Dad a 10oz entrecote steak and Stella Artois, plus he will be treated to a free chocolate fondant. The Parlour have steak in with a 10% discount for Dad only, to help him celebrate his special day. For less than a tenner, steak and a drink is available at the West Quay.

Steak is clearly this year’s theme for Father’s Day, but of course we have many other restaurants to tempt – from French, Portuguese and Italian, to Indian and Chinese. All have great family seating and special offers. Check out our website to see the full list of what’s available. You could even treat Dad to an overnight stay at our superb Hotel Seattle and take him to the Rendezvous Casino with live entertainment and the Waterside Brasserie.

Don’t forget there are a number of great gift shops with plenty of quirky ideas for presents. Visit the Gift Company for wine holders in the shape of guitarists, cars or golfers. You could create your own hamper at the Chilli Shop, with some of the most outrageous sauces from around the world, or buy the pre-made ‘Dad’s a 100% Pain Hamper’.

Getting to the Marina is easy. There is the 24-hour No7 bus and car parking for visitors is free. All information can be found on our website www.brightonmarina.co.uk
