A 46-year-old man from Brighton has been charged with drink driving after being arrested in the street where he lives.

Darren Newington, of Fountains Close in Hollingdean, was arrested at 11.45pm on Sunday (8 June) after his car was stopped outside his home.

Newington was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 24 July.

After his arrest on Sunday, Constable, of Brighton Road, Lancing, was charged with drink driving, driving without insurance and having an axe.

He has also been charged with drink driving and driving without insurance on the A27 at Shoreham in April.

He was released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 23 September.
