Cardens Accountants get World Cup fever
Cardens Accountants celebrated eight years in business on June 5th. To recognise their success, the company held a Brazilian World Cup-themed birthday party in the Boundary rooms of Sussex County Cricket Club in Hove. There were football tables, Brazilian dancers from the Brighton School of Samba, and Cuban cocktail maker Hector served caipirinhas to guests. The night was a huge success, with Cardens’ clients coming together to celebrate. Things got competitive on the football tables and the ‘Guess how many balls?’ competition raised more than £200 for Rockinghorse and Chestnut Tree House charities. Everyone agreed that the event was the perfect way to catch World Cup fever.

Red Lippy Project
The Eventa Group, an award-winning events company based on Queens Road, are supporting the Red Lippy Project again this year. Apart from the bold statement of all wearing red lipstick to work, they are also currently running a competition to raise awareness about Cervical Cancer Week by getting people to share their inspirational stories of their own battles with cancer. The group teamed up with Benefit Cosmetics UK, who gave out some great prizes for the (to be announced) winners. “It’s about coming together as a community and inspiring one another,” they said.
