The War On Drugs

Hot off the success of their hugely popular third album ‘Lost In The Dream’, TWOD played to a sold out crowd and their accessible soft rock songs went down very well. The guitars chimed and solo’d, the bass was smooth and the keyboards and saxophone leant over pleasant textures to their pleasant sound. The show was perhaps a little too pleasant however, never truly lifting off and staying at the same pace for most of the set. ‘Red Light’ was a stormer however and ‘In Reverse’ was a moving finale.
