Vandals strike again at £10 million Shoreham footbridge
Vandals have struck again at the £10 million Adur Ferry Bridge in Shoreham.
The footbridge, which links the town centre with Shoreham Beach, was opened in 2013 by the Duke of Gloucester.
But in recent months vandals have taken to smashing a series of panes on the crossing, which links the town and Shoreham Beach.
Despite the addition of CCTV cameras, vandals have struck again damaging a further pane in the centre of the bridge.
Locals called the damage “mindless vandalism”, adding because each individual glass panel was a different size they cost between £5,000 and £7,000 to repair.
It is understood that Sussex Police is now analysing the footage in the hope of catching the vandals.
