Liam Neeson’s nephew critically injured in fall on Brighton seafront

The nephew of actor Liam Neeson is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering a head injury in a fall on Brighton seafront.

Ronan Sexton, 31, fell from the top of a phone box outside the Palace Pier in the early hours of Sunday (22 June).

Mr Sexton, from Worthing, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton before being transferred to the Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre in Haywards Heath.

Sussex Police said: “Just after 4am on Sunday 22 June a 31-year-old Worthing man had climbed on to the top of a telephone kiosk outside (the Palace) Pier when he fell some 20ft to the ground, sustaining a serious head injury.

“He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital and was later transferred to Hurstwood Park Hospital in Haywards Heath where he is currently in a critical condition.

“The man had been enjoying a night out with friends, who were present when he fell, and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

“There is no further police investigation.”
