Celebcity: Trevor Sorbie Summer party

Trevor Sorbie Summer Party, Pushing Paint at Ink_d Gallery, New store Four Candles opens & Stephen Mulhern spotted in Donatello restaurant

Trevor Sorbie Summer party
Last week, a crowd of gorgeous, generous people got together for the Trevor Sorbie Summer party and raised much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Nile Street salon (celebrating its tenth year in business in 2014) opened its doors to a wave of guests who drank Pimm’s cocktails before feasting on delicious sushi from Moshimo, and gorgeous cupcakes from Cloud 9 Bakery.

The wonderful Adam from Shu Uemura on Duke’s Lane treated guests to makeovers and a lash bar, while the salon’s new beauty therapist, Kim, provided amazing hand massages and manicures (we LOVE her work; try the Artistic Nail Design Gel Mani!).

The lovely Trevor Sorbie was in attendance with his wife Carole, and is pictured here with the brilliant Sarah Coxhill, Macmillan’s Sussex Fundraising Manager, and Geoff Brown, who is the Project Implementation Manager for the forthcoming Sussex Macmillan Cancer Support Centre.

Guests bought goodie bags (all proceeds going to Macmillan), crammed full of products and treats from the generous French Connection (we’ll be buying most of their brilliant new collection) Jo Malone, Shu Uemura, Kiehl’s, Kerastase and Pureology. A great night.

Artistic view
Last Friday saw the private view of Pushing Paint at the North Laines’ very own Ink_d Gallery – the place was rammed to the rafters with painters from the show and even a few other artists popped by to say hi. Pushing Paint is on during July.

Spotted
Spotted: Britain’s Got More Talent presenter Stephen Mulhern enjoying a lads’ night out at Donatello last Friday. Stephen, who lives in Sussex, looked to be having a great time alongside a gaggle of mates tucking into pizza!

THERE’S MORE IN STORE
A store with a difference opened last week in Hove. Four Candles is the brainchild of Sophie Corbett, daughter of the great comedian Ronnie, who famously co-penned the now classic “Four Candles” sketch with the late Ronnie Barker. The new store selling – yes you guessed it – candles, plus other interior design goods, was opened by Sophie and her dad
in one of the cutest openings ever! Sophie, herself a very successful voiceover artist, decided a year or so ago to open the shop and we wish her all the luck with her new venture. Four Candles is located on Victoria Street, Brighton.
