Brighton man electronically tagged for stealing fencing

A Brighton man has been given a curfew and electronic tag after he was caught stealing fencing and posts.

Lennie Crawt, 23, of Hodshrove Road, Moulsecoomb, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court last week.

He was caught with 44-year-old George Crawt, also known as George Doe and Lee Doe, of Strawberry Field, Pulborough, who also admitted the theft.

The pair stole fence panels and posts from G Jupp and Sons, a landscaping products and fencing supplier based in Wivelsfield, on Sunday 15 June.

The pair were given a curfew of 8pm to 6am at their respective addresses until Wednesday 30 July and are to be electronically monitored..

They were both also fined £60 and ordered to pay £85 costs each.
