Tulleys Farm launches giant maze

People are always talking about finding themselves; well, how about losing yourself?

Tulleys Farm in Crawley is opening its Summer Puzzle Park on Saturday 19th July and the main attraction is a giant corn maze! The eight acre construction is one of the largest Maize mazes in Europe with nearly four miles of pathways. Ouch!

Obviously, this can be quite daunting unless you’re a seasoned maze enthusiast, but not to worry, Stuart Beare who owns Tulleys Farm says that while it’s easy to get lost, its also easy to find your way out. He said: “It’s pretty easy to get lost. It’s three [puzzles] within one now and there’s a halfway point that you get back to, which you can leave from – so if you’ve got smaller kids it’s not something you can never get out of.”

The maze itself is re-designed annually and this year the winding labyrinth of orchestrated confusion is shaped to represent Scruffles the Scarecrow.

Stuart Beare is pleased with this year’s outcome and believes it will satisfy the amateur and professional maze goer alike. He told Latest News: “There are some real maze buffs that come out to us each year so it’s got to challenge them, it’s also got to be fun for the kids.

So, we design it with lots of bridges and lots of access points so you can get above the crop and see what’s going on. If you’re a real maze buff, it works, if you’re a family and you keep going left, I guess it also works.”

Tulleys Puzzle Park opens on Saturday 19th July and closes on Sunday 7th September, you’ll have an a-maze-ing time (sorry). Actually, I’m not sorry, if you have a problem with my pun work you can find me in the maze.
