Alan, we love you

Regular readers of Celeb City will know just how fond we are of the comedy genius and Ovingdean resident, Steve Coogan. You can imagine our delight then, at finding ourselves a literal stone’s throw from Tony Ferrino himself last Saturday on Brighton’s Madeira Drive. The Italian Trip star may have been there casing the joint for this forthcoming gig at the Brighton Big Screen on the beach; the very next evening Mr Coogan was booked to introduce a screening of the brilliant Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa alongside the film’s Director, Declan Lowney. The actor got a little more than he bargained for at that gig, as among the assembled crowd was a Partridge-themed stag night, participants complete with cut-out masks featuring Norfolk’s finest radio DJ. The comedian happily posed for pictures with the revellers, including one man dressed as Partridge himself (sans trousers). We love him just a little bit more now …

Moving on

It’s been a difficult time for Katie Price; the glamorous gal has really been through the mill ever since she discovered her husband Kieran Hayler was having a sexual relationship with her former best friend. News reaches us that Katie is set to sell the West Sussex estate that she shared with Kieran, and where the affair is said to have taken place. You can’t blame her really; the place must be full of the wrong kind of memories. Katie, who is due to give birth to her second child with Kieran any day now, is reportedly trying to work through her problems with her husband and we have yet to hear whether he will be moving with her when she sells her six-bedroom home. Here’s hoping it works out for them.

Meanwhile, let’s have a quick Peter Andre update. The ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer has just celebrated his second anniversary with fiancée Emily MacDonagh. The good looking pair had their first child together, Amelia, back in January, and had hoped to be married before she was born what with Peter being a self-confessed traditional man. In fact, so committed to tradition and his cultural heritage is our Peter that he has said he would like two wedding ceremonies, including a traditional big fat Greek wedding. With Peter promoting a new album and prepping for a tour, and Emily back at medical school finishing her training, planning a wedding – let alone two – will no doubt have to take a back seat. Can’t wait to see those wedding pics. Yammas!
