Worthing Leisure open new 3G Football Centre
Back in the day when teams like QPR and Luton introduced artificial surfaces, people and players were critical of the sandy, bouncy pitches. Since then, technology has changed tremendously to allow Worthing Leisure to open up a 6 pitch 3G football centre.
The new development aims to bring more children and adults in to get people more active and have a fun and safe place to practice their skills.
Worthing Leisure will be hosting a range of sporting events at the venue other than football to show how versatile the development can be. Rounders and cricket are amongst some of the sports planned to get more people active.
Cllr Vic Walker was on hand to open up the football centre and shared his delight ‘It’s fantastic, absolutely fantastic, in fact even now there are kids lining up just to come in and play football.’
