Brighton’s Palace Pier to feature on new Royal Mail stamps
The Palace Pier in Brighton is to feature on one of a new set of Royal Mail stamps.The set of ten stamps feature landmark seaside architecture from around the country including the helter skelter section of the Palace Pier.
The stamps are being brought out on Thursday 18 September with collectors being offered a first day cover postcard issued just for Brighton. The postcard is postmarked with Brighton and the issue date.
Royal Mail said: “This ten stamp issue captures the spirit of the seaside experience through the buildings and structures that are exclusive to, or very distinctive of, the UK’s resorts, which were designed for the pleasure of the visitor.”
