Slint

Another ’90s American indie band riding a wave of reappreciation and reforming to tour, Slint still stand out as a truly stunning live band with a distinct style and sense of focussed artistic intensity. Spiky, minimal guitar lines intertwine and sound all the more striking and creative in a loud, live setting. Tracks from their classic ‘Spiderland’ album are the understandable crowd favourites, but their other material is also startlingly strong, particularly the final song which was so heavily centred around one guitar part it sounded like a glorious solo. A rich, melodic, short sharp shock to the senses.
