Brighton man banned for three years after being caught drink driving

A Brighton man has been banned from the roads for three years after being caught drink driving.

Ross Reeves, 30, of Hereford Court, Kemp Town, was arrested by Sussex Police after being over the limit in a blue Vauxhall Vectra in Devonshire Place, Brighton, on Saturday 12 July.

He admitted the offence when he appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court and also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance or a licence.

The court was told that he had 47 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

As well as being banned from driving, he was fined £200 for being over the limit and £100 for each of the other two offences.

He was ordered to pay £50 prosecution costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
