SEAFRONT HOLE
There is no end in sight to the seafront road misery in Brighton as closures look set to drag on beyond summer.
Restrictions have been in place on Kings Road since the end of April, following the road collapse above The Fortune of War pub.
Originally it was hoped the hole on the A259 would be repaired by the end of June. But, with little sign of work taking place, traders have now been told they will have to wait until September for the work to be complete.

PALESTINIAN SOLIDARITY?
Images of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza have shocked many across the globe. In fact, they have shocked one Brighton councillor so much that he has asked local authority leaders to fly the Palestinian flag from its offices.
Ben Duncan, an independent councillor, claimed it would be a sign of solidarity to those suffering in the conflict. But not everyone agrees – especially as the calls came in the same week the Union Jack is flying from the offices to mark the centenary of the outbreak of World War One.

And with some motorists reporting their vehicles have been criminally damaged, it has been decided there is only one way to sort it. This initiative was launched after the intervention of Lee Wares, Conservative candidate for the area at next year’s local elections.
