Brighton domestic abuse charity to hold 20th anniversary ball
The Brighton domestic abuse charity Rise is to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a fundraising ball at the American Express Community Stadium.
The evening includes a four-course dinner and entertainment and is due to take place at the Falmer stadium – home to Brighton and Hove Albion FC – on Thursday 11 September.
Compere Julie Jepson will be joined by the comedienne Suzy Bennett. As well as comedy there will also be music and, Rise said, a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
The charity added: “While celebrating 20 years of hard work, Rise will also be fundraising to support the vital services for those affected by domestic abuse.
“Helping 1,200 women and their families each year, the organisation relies on support from the local community to reach those in need of support.”
The tickets cost £60 or £600 for a table of 10. The evening starts at 6.30pm.
